Tipp City Veterinary Hospital is Hiring an Associate Veterinarian Near Tipp, OH

Tipp City Veterinary Hospital seeks a full-time or part-time, experienced or new grad veterinarian to join our privately owned, award-winning, and AAHA-accredited practice in Tipp City, Ohio. This opening is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team that's continuing to grow, with 102 team members across our campus. We support an environment where people do work they love and go home happy and proud. We practice high-quality medicine with a Fear-Free focus and strive to maintain a collaborative, positive work culture that supports work-life balance.
Every team member at TCVH takes pride in the care that we give to our clients, patients, and guests. TCVH has served the community for over 45 years and works with canines, felines, and companion exotics (small mammals, reptiles, and avians). We enjoy a loyal clientele and a professional, well-educated team. Our modern 42,000-square-foot campus includes two well-equipped buildings offering the highest level of veterinary and pet care services.
Here are two videos that provide some insights into what it's like working at TCVH:

Why We Care - https://www.facebook.com/tippvet/videos/10155042301248135/
Compensation & Benefits - TCVH rewards its veterinarians with competitive salary and benefits packages, including:
  • Production-elevated compensation with generous base salaries starting at $125,000 (the average annual compensation for our full-time veterinarians is around $195,000 - working 24-35 hours per week)
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, long and short-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Immediate paid vacation accrual (for full-time, this is equivalent to 14 work days annually, with additional holiday closures on Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
  • $2,500 stipend and access to up to 4 days off for CE annually. This is not a hard limit. If there is CE, certification, or training you're interested in that exceeds these limits, let’s talk. We love investing in professional growth!
  • Paid association dues, licenses, and liability insurance
  • Very generous employee discounts on products and services (including daycare, lodging, grooming, and training services at the pet resort)
  • Possible relocation reimbursement
Flexible Scheduling & Less Stress - While TCVH is open seven days a week, weekends are rotated so that our doctors typically work only one out of every four weekends. Our full-time doctors typically work between 24-35 hours per week, with a current average of 28 hours. Our appointment schedule is commensurate with going home on time.
Do you need specific days off? Do you have childcare responsibilities? Do you have a particular interest in dentistry or another area of focus? Your schedule can be flexible based on your needs and preferences—let's talk! We work together to cover shifts and allow time off without guilt.
Medicine You Can Trust - Every team member on campus has access to pursue Fear Free certification and is provided an annual CE stipend. We educate pet owners on their options for care, and you will have access to quality equipment, facilities, colleagues, and other resources to practice top-notch medicine within a spectrum of care. We have standards of care and an organized workflow, so there is continuity of care across our team (e.g., vaccine schedules), and you can trust that others around you are practicing a similar style of medicine. At the same time, you have the autonomy to practice medicine how you see fit based on the pet and owner in front of you (e.g., anesthetic protocol, lab panels).
We have doctor meetings every other month to discuss medical protocols, standards of care, and hospital updates and maintain an open line of communication with the medical team and management. Everyone has a voice - we grow and learn together. We send short anonymous check-in surveys to all team members each month and solicit feedback more extensively every six months. We have publicly visible suggestion boards that our teams actively use to provide feedback and share ideas.
Are you a new or recent graduate? Our doctors love to share their knowledge, and we can provide mentorship to help you grow your skills.
Excellent Paraprofessional & Management Support - Our medical division has a 6.5:1 support staff to DVM ratio, including 14 RVTs. Our highly trained support team loves to learn new skills and be trusted with responsibility. We’re committed to utilizing our licensed technicians and general support staff to the highest level possible.
Our medical division has a 16.9% turnover rate (vs. the industry's average of 25%). The average tenure across our doctors and paraprofessionals is over ten years, and our five DVMs share a combined 100 years of experience.
As a privately owned practice, we offer approachable, responsive management. We ensure a fair and supportive environment with quick and effective solutions for our team's needs. While no work environment will always be perfect, we are very invested in continuous improvement and work hard to make TCVH a great workplace.
Clients With Similar Values - Civility matters. We believe in open communication, mutual respect, and trust. These values are embodied in our Client Rights and Responsibilities (https://tippvet.com/client-rights-and-responsibilities). While we have many amazing clients, we evaluate whether the relationship should continue if we consistently don't see eye-to-eye with one.
